Tony Babin, CPA, CA
Tony graduated from the Université de Moncton in 1994 and obtained a business degree with a major in accounting. He was employed with LeBlanc Nadeau Bujold from 1994 to 1998 at which time he joined the firm Allen, Paquet & Arseneau LLP and has been in public practice ever since. Tony received his CA designation in 2002 and became a partner in the firm in 2004.
Tony is originally from Charlo, NB and currently resides in Bathurst, NB.
He is the managing partner of our Bathurst office and has a wide variety of experience and knowledge with small businesses, non-profit organizations, municipalities and First Nations.
Yves Arseneau, CPA, CA
Yves graduated from the Université de Moncton in 1992 and obtained a business degree with a major in accounting and a minor in computer science. Yves received a license in accounting science and an accounting certificate from the Université de Laval in 1993 and received his CA designation in 1995 and he has been employed in public practice ever since. He became a partner in the firm in 1996. Yves is originally from Balmoral, NB and currently resides in Bathurst, NB. He has a wide variety of experience and knowledge with small businesses, non-profit organizations, municipalities, health services organizations and especially the forest industry. Yves is a board member of Assumption Life, in Moncton, since 2007 and is now president of the audit committee of that institution since 2012.
Alberta Buttimer, CPA, CA
Alberta Buttimer, CPA, CA received her CA designation as a Chartered Accountant in 1990. She also holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Mount Allison University. She worked with KPMG Chartered Accountants for eleven years. In 1998 she opened her own public accounting practice, which she operated for almost 18 years in Beresford, where she lives with her family. In December 2015, Ms. Buttimer merged her accounting practice with Allen, Paquet & Arseneau LLP. Alberta, along with her staff, now works as part of our team in the Bathurst office.
Alberta was also a member of the Board of Directors of the Belledune Port Authority, serving as a Director for 9 years. Ms. Buttimer has also served on the Council of the New Brunswick Institute of Chartered Accountants. She has been active in our community as well with organizations such as the Bathurst-Campbellton 2003 Canada Winter Games Host Society, First United Church, Junior Achievement of Bathurst, the Bathurst Rotary Club and École Carrefour Étudiant.
Alberta has a wide variety of experience working with small business clients in a variety of sectors as well as a large number of professional service companies and individuals.

Roland Lovesey, CPA, CA, C.F.P.
Roland joined the firm in 2004 in a senior position after being a partner with a National Firm and is now a senior advisor. He provides integrated business, tax, investment, retirement and management services for many companies and individuals. Services include structured investment planning advice; advising on investments and will planning; business planning and the implementation of structure and monthly monitoring for companies in various industries and service lines. Contract services are provided to governmental organizations in the areas of feasibility studies, operational efficiency, recurring procedures and computerized transaction flow streamlining.
After Kim’s departure from the private sector, she joined Allen, Paquet & Arseneau LLP in 2006. Kim is a highly innovative, proactive professional who provides quality service with a strong knowledge of accounting to keep your financial affairs in compliance. Kim has a diverse line of accounting service options such as Corporate Tax Returns, Simply Accounting, Audits and Financial Forecasts. Her strong ability to work with programs within Microsoft Office allows her to create and rewrite documents that will bring efficiency to the needs of her clients.
Rémi Boudreau, CPA, CGA
Rémi received his CGA designation in 2009. He also holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Laurentian University. He has been working in public practice for the past 13 years and possesses a vast experience with small and medium size companies, non-profit organizations as well as personal income taxes.
Kayleigh Thibeault, CPA, CA (Ellis)
Kayleigh graduated from the University of New Brunswick Fredericton in 2011 where she obtained her Bachelor in Business Administration with honours in Accounting and a minor in Economics. She has worked in public accounting and as a Financial Officer for the Provincial Government. In 2015, Kayleigh earned her CPA, CA designation while working for APA and was promoted to Senior Manager in 2020. Kayleigh is originally from Bathurst and has experience dealing with small business clients, not-for profits and personal income taxes.
Vanessa Haché, CPA
Vanessa graduated from CCNB with a diploma in business administration in 2010 and received her Chartered Professional Accountant designation in 2018. She joined Allen, Paquet & Arseneau LLP in 2010 and was promoted to Senior Manager in 2020. Vanessa is originally from Petit-Rocher and currently resides in Bathurst.
Vanessa’s focus is audit and assurance engagements for clients across a wide range of industries. Vanessa is also an Executive Board member of the Bathurst Regional Airport, serving as a Director since 2021.
Andrée Aubé, CPA, CA
Andrée graduated from Université de Moncton in 2009 and obtained a Bachelor degree in Business Administration with a major in accounting. She was employed by Grant Thornton LLP in 2009 and obtained her CA designation in 2011. In 2013, she left the public practice to join a local business as a Financial Controler. Andrée came back to public practice with Allen Paquet & Arseneau LLP in 2015. In 2020, she completed the CPA Canada In-Depth Tax Course and was promoted Senior Manager of the Tax Department.
Cédric is a graduate of the Université de Moncton’s co-op program and holder of his CPA designation obtained from the Institute of Chartered Professional Accountants since 2020. He has been with APA for 5 years and is an integral part of our management team . He is passionate about golf and hockey, in addition to being involved in his community.

Julia worked from 1989 to 1998 in the private sector, from 1998 to 2004 for the Federal Government and since 2004 she has been employed by Alberta Buttimer, CPA, CA. Julia has extensive accounting and administrative assistance experience. She joined the firm in 2015.
Sophie HébertAllen, Paquet & Arseneau LLP
Sylvain is a graduate of the Business technology program with an accounting option from Collège Communautaire du Nouveau-Brunswick. He has been part of APA’s professional team for over 5 years. He possesses several years of experience in the private sector, more specifically in accounting in addition to having worked in the road construction field. He is a passionate runner, and brings his good humor to work every day.
Michelle graduated from CCNB-Bathurst in 1995. She worked in the corporate and real estate department of a law firm as an administrative assistant for 24 years. She was hired by APA in 2020 as an administrative assistant in the tax department.
